    About the Artist

Charlotte Nelck is an abstract artist based near Amsterdam in the Netherlands. Her work is influenced by the colors and shapes found in nature, fashion, and female forms. Landscapes and her surroundings also play an important role on her canvases. Her paintings are sometimes foggy and mysterious and other times colorful and playful, depending on the season.

Her works are intuitive and therapeutic, from the process of hand-stretching the canvases to the pouring of watered-down acrylics, layer after layer. This process creates a depth resembling our natural surroundings.

Charlotte originally studied criminal law and worked as a lawyer for many years. Due to illness, she had to halt her career, which led her to discover the beauty of art. This unexpected journey has opened a new path of expression for her.
